was set up by eight of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Incorporated, Kappa Omega Omega Chapter Spring 2017 initiates. Our sisterhood will never be the same as we are no longer nine. The remaining eight will keep her memory alive through her passion for creative writing with this scholarship.

This scholarship is open to all graduating seniors from a Kern County High School District school. The applicant is required to submit a creative writing essay, be a Bakersfield resident, and plan to pursue a career in English, creative writing, or education.
