41st Annual African American Graduation Awards

The application for the 2020 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Book Scholarship is now available!

We invite all graduating African-American high school seniors in Kern County to apply. Our sorority is dedicated to helping young men and women reach their dreams of becoming successful. Students who plan to attend vocational schools, college/universities and the military are encouraged to apply by the deadline Monday, February 10, 2020.

We are also planning a memorable celebration for African-American seniors and junior high graduates in Kern County. Scholarship nominees must be present at this event. Scholarship nominees will be notified by email in March.
