MLK Day of Service
Our 2022 Participants are off and running!
We took some time today to study a few key points of the Civil Rights Movement in the 60’s with our 2022 Miss Fashionetta Participants. They were able to share their perspective on some of the tactics used in the “fight” and they thoughtfully listened as some of our Chapter members and guests who lived through that time shared their reflections. We were especially honored to have as our guest, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Far Western Region, Regional Protocol Chairman, Charlene Lemon Shivers.
It was a great MLK Day of Service virtual activity!
