We took some time today to study a few key points of the Civil Rights Movement in the 60’s with our 2022 Miss Fashionetta Participants. They were able to share their perspective on some of the tactics used in the β€œfight” and they thoughtfully listened as some of our Chapter members and guests who lived through that time of the movement shared their reflections.

On December 10, 1965, Wilma Dean Rucker Davis was initiated into Phi Chapter on the campus of Wiley College located in Marshall, Texas. In 1984, Wilma was a Charter Member of Omicron Mu Omega Chapter located in Dallas Texas. After relocating to Bakersfield, California, Wilma transferred into Kappa Omega Omega Chapter. Wilma's sister, Jeanette Rucker Fulton was one of the Chartering Members of Kappa Omega Omega.
